About Us

Every Building Holds a Story

At Epochish, we believe that every landmark building is more than concrete, glass, or steel — it is an epoch in the story of architecture. Yet, too often, the stories that truly matter remain unheard.

  • Who first imagined the idea?
  • How was the project won?
  • What choices shaped the design, the materials, the execution?
  • What struggles turned into breakthroughs?

These are the questions that don't appear on plaques or guidebooks — but they are the questions architects long to ask.

Why We Exist

Epochish was born from a gap we couldn't ignore.

Every time architects visit landmark buildings, they leave with photographs and memories — but rarely with the stories that truly matter. The competition that shaped the brief, the midnight debates over materials, the site challenges that became design breakthroughs. The real journey of creation remains hidden, known only to those who lived it.

We realized that the most valuable lessons in architecture aren't written in books or displayed on site plaques. They live in the minds of the architects who imagined and realized these buildings. Yet there was no platform where these conversations could happen — where curiosity could meet experience, where questions could meet honest answers.

We believe that understanding architecture means understanding its making — not just the finished form, but the process, the people, and the problems that shaped it. And we believe that knowledge is best shared through dialogue — direct, unfiltered, and led by the creators themselves — which is provided by Epochish.

What We Do

We create immersive architectural journeys. Each Epochish program centers on a single building of significance — guided not by a tour operator, but by the very minds who imagined and realized it.

Here, buildings are not visited; they are experienced.

Here, learning doesn't come from looking, but from asking, listening, and engaging.

Here, every question is welcome and every answer comes from the experts involved in creating the masterpiece.

Who We Are

Ar. Smruti Snigdha Sahani founded Epochish after more than two decades of architectural practice that began in 2000. His portfolio spans residential, commercial, institutional, and public projects across varying scales and contexts. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with consultants, engineers, fabricators, and craftspeople who collectively bring architectural visions into reality. This experience of working alongside diverse professionals throughout a project's lifecycle gave him unique insight into the layered expertise that goes into creating significant buildings — expertise that extends far beyond the architect's drawing board.

His practice philosophy has always centered on learning from every project, every collaboration, and every challenge encountered on site. It is this commitment to continuous learning that eventually evolved into Epochish — a platform where such learning could be shared more widely within the architectural community.

Co-founding this venture with him are Miss Tapaswini Dash and Mr. Akash, both PhD holders who bring a fresh perspective to how knowledge can be structured, documented, and shared effectively. Their involvement in Epochish stems from a shared belief that meaningful education happens through direct engagement and thoughtfully designed experiences. Together, the founding team works to ensure that every Epochish program is meticulously curated, intellectually stimulating, and authentically connected to the professionals who shaped each featured building.

Our Vision

  • To transform great buildings into living classrooms.
  • To turn curiosity into dialogue.
  • To make architecture not just seen, but deeply understood.

At Epochish, each building is an epoch of learning.

And every epoch is an invitation for you to be part of the story.
